Jorge Mateos

a young dreamer born in Madrid, Spain, with a deep connection and interest in creativity, experimentation, and new challenges.

 

My fascination with the world of video, marketing, and events began in my early adolescence. To combat boredom, I let my imagination flow creating scenes and sequences that came to life in my mind. If I added a soundtrack to these stories, I had the most perfect and intricate music videos. My interest in marketing stemmed from a passion for discovering products or services that could provide us with some benefit. Our audience was our kind and unfortunate neighbors, to whom we offered everything from dog walking services to painted stones, fragrances made from leaves and flowers, and even rummaged through our homes in search of objects we could turn into something useful. Optimistic, in full creative development and without limits, our clandestine events in the park were the sensation of the moment. Original locations, drinks, snacks, the best hits, and us creating a pleasant atmosphere were the basis of our logistics. The idea of creating memorable and fun experiences with and for other kids fascinated me. Of course, some mother as a vigilant and controlling force over the soda was never missing.

 

I know it’s been a long time since those experiences, and fortunately, the tools and resources are not the same. Undoubtedly, those were my beginnings. I couldn’t talk about my passions without mentioning their origin and how those experiences impacted my development, decisions, and who I am today.

 

As I grew, my passion turned into my profession. I studied Audiovisual Communication, where I acquired tools to direct, produce, and edit video, expanding my creativity and teaching me the value of communication and narrative in projects. Later, I decided to broaden my horizons and moved to Canada, where I studied Marketing and Events. This was crucial for my roles as a marketing strategist and events coordinator in various companies and projects.

 

Throughout my life, I have lived, studied, and worked in different corners of the world, such as Spain, the United Kingdom, and Canada, where I spent a significant part of my life. This multicultural experience has enriched me in values and personal growth, fostering tolerance and understanding of different cultures, both personally and professionally.

 

I consider myself a creative, outgoing, social person and a friend to my friends. I enjoy challenges, new experiences, and adventures, and I firmly believe in sustainability, solidarity, human potential, and personal growth. In both my professional and personal life, I strive to be hardworking, dedicated, and resourceful, consistently expressing a desire to learn and apply new ideas and skills in every project I undertake.

 

Beyond my passions and projects, I enjoy playing board games and team sports, dancing, singing, relaxing at the beach, exploring fashion, DIY projects, and taking care of plants.
